A food writer, librarian and historian, Becky Libourel Diamond has had a varied career combining writing and research. Her latest book, The Gilded Age Christmas Cookbook: Cookies and Treats from America’s Golden Era, launched in September 2025. Each recipe provides a colorful glimpse into the Gilded Age, featuring the history behind each treat, its ingredients and baking methods. Her previous book, The Gilded Age Cookbook, was published by Globe Pequot in August 2023 and transports the reader back in time.

Their tiny 300 sq. foot space in Bella Vista has a walk-up window through which Karen serves up kolache, sticky buns and cinnamon rolls with a smile!

Not only can you enjoy pastelillos, but Amy also offers an expanded menu, with items like pollito bowls, and tostones nachos with rotating daily specials. Amy’s Pastelillos looks to bring familiar and nostalgic flavors to the masses through her new casual lunch takeout spot and continue to keep her mother's legacy alive.
